"عشق, که شدیدترین و عمیق ترین عنصر زندگی ست, منادی امید و شادی و وجد; عشق, که با بخشودگی تمامی قوانین انسانی و الهی و تنفر آورترین کنوانسیونها را به چالش میکشد;عشق یکی از قوی ترین شکل دهنده گان سرنوشت انسان(......) عشق آزاد? اگر چیزی در جهان بگونه آزاد وجود داشته باشد, دقیقا همان عشق است. انسان قادر به خرید مغز بوده اما با همه میلیونهایش در بدست آوردن عشق ناتوان مانده. انسان بدن را تحت کنترل خویش در آورده.....اما نخواهد توانست عشق را کنترل کند. انسان کشورهای کاملی را فتح کرده; اما ارتش هایش نتوانسته است کوچک ترین عشق را تسخیر کند. انسان که رشته هائی از روح را زیر بار کشیده, در مقابل عشق کاملا درمانده و بی دفاع مانده. نشسته بر بالاترین تخت با تمام شکوه و جلال و طلای خویش, قادر مطلق. اما همین کافی که عشق از کنارش رد شود تا او را به ویرانی عمیق بکشاند."
